Genetic Modification
Genetic engineering involves altering the genetic makeup of an organism by removing, changing, or inserting individual genes from another organism. This process results in the creation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or transgenic organisms. The DNA of these modified organisms, now containing DNA from another source, is termed recombinant DNA.
On the other hand, Genetic engineering is characterized as the intentional alteration of an organism’s traits by the insertion or deletion of genes to produce new products.
